When I was in school, we drank Jolt from a can! And if we chewed gum in class, the teacher would make us share! Man, times have changed.
A suburban Pittsburgh middle school student has been suspended for three days for sharing chewing gum that contains caffeine.
Burrell School District Superintendent Amy Palermo said products acting as a stimulant are prohibited and possessing them is grounds for disciplinary action.
Palermo said the suspension was mainly based on the girl’s decision to share the gum with another student.
Jolt is marketed as a caffeine-energy gum. From KOAT.
I’m sure glad our schools teach students how to survive in the real world. Now, can someone please get me a can of Red Bull?
