Americans were justifiably outraged when AIG, which received billions in U.S. taxpayer money in bailouts, paid out hefty bonuses to its executives. So where is the outrage when African leaders, who receive U.S. taxpayers’ money in foreign aid, build palaces for themselves while their people wallow in abject poverty?

A passing motorist pointed a handgun at former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin as he drove in Far North Dallas on Monday night, according to a police report. The Pro Football Hall of Fame member was not injured.

Not even emotionally hurt?

“So we started talking about the Cowboys and everything,” he said. “Then they got back on the highway.” “I tell you what, I’m glad he was a Cowboy fan,” Irvin said.

My guess is that Mr. Romo wouldn’t be so lucky. The remarkable part of this story is that it wasn’t Pacman Jones with the gun.

You ran an amazing campaign with the full support of the media and the desire to dispose of an unpopular president.

Now lets see what you can do with the Kos kids wanting you to give them what you promised.

You thought Nagin was bad?

Here’s a case of biting the hand that feeds you.

…food and fuel supplies sent to North Korea have been halted, not to force North Korea to stop missile tests or participate in peace talks, but to return the Chinese trains the aid was carried in on.

I was walking down the street and I was attacked by a roaming Palm Tree! It was like a tiger! Please city council! Protect Me!

Colin Charlwood, a Liberal Democrat councillor, said: “The truth is that, like everything else, health and safety regulations mean we have to be mindful that palm trees could be dangerous.

“What if one of those leaves caught a child in the eye, for example? It is a little bit like keeping tigers: they are beautiful to look at but you wouldn’t want them wandering the streets. What is being suggested is not that we don’t have them, but that they need to be placed out of harm’s way.” Mr Excell said the trees were vital to the resort’s identity.

Maybe if we could just hang a 4×6 foot sign around each tree to warn people of the huge hazard awaiting them in case they run into it.

A man shouting that God would keep him safe was mauled to death by a lioness in Kiev zoo after he crept into the animal’s enclosure, a zoo official said on Monday.

From Yahoo.

Sigh.

God gave man wisdom to put fences in between for protection. Oh and Daniel didn’t jump in the den as a dare to God.

I guess he’ll know if God exists now though.

Umm, why don’t you go to Safeway… it’s a safer way.

It takes place every year on Cooper’s Hill near Brockworth in the last weekend of May, and it sees scores of men and women hurtle 200 yards down a near vertical slope in pursuit of a seven-pound Double Gloucester cheese.

OK, I can handle doing something because it’s a tradition…

Past cheese-rolling races have not been without incident. Safety fears halted the 1998 event after the previous year’s event ended in mayhem with 18 competitors and several onlookers injured.

Wow, what’s the prize if you survive and win????

The winner gets to keep the cheese they risked life and limb to chase after. Second and third to reach bottom usually win a cash prize. Despite the dangers, many competitors come back year after year.

Only the British.

I thought only the Virgin Mary caused this kind of tourism.

A tuna fish caught in the Indian Ocean recently has excited Kenyan Muslims who are flocking here by the hundreds to see a Koranic verse apparently embedded in its scales.

“It is so clearly spelt,” he said. “That is why we believe that Allah is sending a message to mankind.”

Hundreds of Muslims and curiosity seekers flocked to Awadh’s Takaungu Fresh Fish Shop to see the tuna on Friday, prompting concerns for its safety and its removal to a refrigerated locker at the fisheries department.

Let me know when the fish starts talking.
